About the role
- Blend hands-on product design work with people leadership responsibilities, acting as a player-coach.
- Own end-to-end product experiences in a defined area: frame problems, explore solutions, and deliver polished, dev-ready designs.
- Spend time in Figma shaping flows and collaborating with product managers and engineers.
- Stay deeply connected to users through research, testing, and discovery; translate insights into usable designs that account for edge cases and accessibility.
- Contribute to and evolve the design system and shared patterns.
- Manage and support a small group of product designers with regular feedback, coaching, 1:1s, and career development.
- Run effective critiques, set growth goals, and create an environment of trust, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Partner with Design leadership on hiring, onboarding, and team culture.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product design, with at least 1–2 years of mentoring or team leadership.
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong UX thinking, high-quality craft, and real user impact.
- Experience designing and shipping digital products in cross-functional teams.
- Clear, confident communication of design decisions, user needs, and tradeoffs.
- Comfort balancing hands-on design work with people leadership responsibilities.
- Curiosity, empathy, and a drive to improve user outcomes through design.
- Proficiency in Figma and fluency with modern design system practices.
