About the role
- Provide strategic oversight of high-impact publications/scientific communications accounts
- Supervise a team of scientific directors and medical writers
- Act as a strategic partner to clients and contribute to business development
- Oversee communication activities, including strategic publication planning/execution
- Conduct evidence/landscape analyses, and scientific narrative development
- Mentor staff, building competency of scientific strategy among the team
- Add value to assigned client accounts as Senior Scientific Strategy Lead
- Lead client interactions and moderation of workshops/meetings
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative solutions to client challenges
- Lead scientific component of proposals and pitch presentations
- Create opportunities for new business through professional contacts and quality work
Requirements
- PhD, PharmD, or MD required
- Minimum 8+ years medical communications experience in an agency setting
- Oncology expertise preferred
- Flexible, deadline oriented, and ability to work as part of a multifunctional team
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent working knowledge of good publication practices and industry guidelines (CMPP preferred)
- Ability to quickly and amicably respond to changing client needs and conditions
- Ability to evaluate, interpret and analyze both written and verbal communications
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters cooperation and teamwork
- Understand and comply with policies and procedures as outlined in the Lumanity Corporate Policies and Procedures manual.
