About the role
- To strengthen our sales team, we are looking for an experienced technical Key Account Manager (m/f/d) for the North American region to join us as soon as possible
- In this role, you will provide comprehensive support to our strategically important customers, with the goal of building long-term relationships, successfully driving projects forward, and collaborating with the LUIS team to develop the right solutions
- Your focus will be on acquiring and managing medium-sized and large OEM customers, particularly manufacturers of mobile machines in the intralogistics, on-road & crane, and off-road sectors
- Establishing, maintaining, and strategically developing new and existing customer relationships across North America
- Conducting regular on-site visits to analyze customer needs, provide consulting, and support ongoing projects
- Managing the introduction of new products in close alignment with customers, project management, and development teams
- Monitoring market and competitive trends and identifying new business opportunities in North America
- Presenting product solutions, innovations, and concepts—both at trade shows (e.g., CONEXPO, iVT, Modex), customer events, and internal meetings
- Creating customer-specific proposals in close collaboration with internal sales, Technical Sales (Customer Solutions & Innovation), and management
- Actively contributing to pricing processes, contract negotiations, and follow-up on submitted offers
- Working closely with colleagues in internal sales, Technical Sales (Customer Solutions & Innovation), and export to ensure smooth workflows
- Serving as a key contact for technical inquiries and acting as the interface between customers and product development
- Maintaining customer data in the CRM system and providing regular updates to sales management
Requirements
- Professional training and experience
- Technical training or a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer vision, or industrial engineering
- Several years of experience in key account management for technical products and AI software
- Strong enthusiasm for future-oriented fields such as computer vision, neural networks, and artificial intelligence
- At least five years of experience in our segment, including camera monitor systems, driver assistance systems, and AI-based technologies
- Experience in project management is an advantage
- Willingness to travel within North America (50%)
- Languages: Business-fluent English; German is a plus
- Conversational level in Spanish
- Personal strengths: Strong technical affinity, solution-oriented and customer-focused mindset, excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of teamwork, confident use of office software (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), strong time-management and self-organization skills
