About the role
- Maintain and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. DESNZ), ensuring clear communication on progress, timelines, and model delivery.
- Facilitate resource allocation and prioritisation across multiple forecasting models (ELFO, RAB, Hydrogen, etc.), ensuring deadlines are met using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Support the tracking of work across upcoming models, helping the team maintain delivery plans, milestones, and dependencies.
- Work closely with analysts and internal developers, facilitating discussions and requirements gathering for new policies and schemes, ensuring accurate incorporation into forecasting models.
Requirements
- A degree or higher in a relevant field such as Business, Economics, STEM, Data/Analytics, Engineering, or experience in an equivalent role.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; able to structure ambiguous problems and communicate clearly. Ability to balance scope, quality, and delivery timelines to meet critical deadlines.
- Excellent Excel skills
- Proven experience in prioritising and managing competing priorities and resources across multiple workflows. Ability to organise information, document decisions, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Confident communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to present information clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Collaborative working style; comfortable working across different teams and disciplines including developers, subject matter experts, and business units.
- Interest in energy/public sector policy contexts, forecasting, modelling, or analytics delivery.
- Experience using Python or R to conduct analysis (Desirable)
- PowerBI skills/experience (Desirable)
- Experience using tools like Jira and Confluence for project management (Desirable)
- Knowledge of the energy sector (Desirable)
- Interest or experience using AI and automation to optimising processes and deliver results (Desirable)
