About the role
- Overall operations management of the Patient Transport/Escort Department
- Management of all transport staff
- Overseeing patient care equipment including purchasing
- Ensures equipment is safe and efficient for patient care
- Completing performance appraisals, departmental goal setting, coaching, and counseling
- Supports individual and departmental achievement using recognition methods
- Encourage and engage staff to ensure high levels of employee and patient satisfaction
- Rounds and communicates with employees
- Manages process improvement for department
- Conducts staff meetings, committee meetings, and in-service training
- Prepares payroll and daily productivity logs
- Interviews, hires, orients new patient transport staff
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Patient Care
- Patient Transport experience required
- Prior leadership in healthcare preferred
- H. S. Diploma or equivalent
