About the role
- Act as a technical reference and subject-matter expert for junior attorneys and interns;
- Serve as a strategic partner to internal areas, including PeC (People & Culture), Operations, and Business & Development, to identify and resolve low- and medium-complexity legal issues while ensuring legal compliance;
- Identify potential legal risks to the company’s business and propose mitigation measures, protective actions and alternative strategies;
- Provide support and handle matters related to collective bargaining;
- Continuously monitor new legislation for potential impacts;
- Collaborate on system-generated reports related to the labor litigation portfolio, providing management information on potential contingencies, provisions and other financial aspects;
- Facilitate the management, communication and delivery of inputs to external law firms engaged in advisory work, administrative matters and strategic labor litigation;
- Monitor external law firms’ activities and the quality of litigation documents—particularly appeals—as well as the company’s operational workflow with internal areas (e.g., PeC and Finance);
- Support the Legal team in promoting a culture of compliance, integrity and governance across corporate matters, LGPD (Brazil’s General Data Protection Law) and other administrative issues;
- Assist internal areas in drafting policies, rules and internal procedures;
- Contribute to standardizing internal legal positions (manuals, FAQs, playbooks) and help organize and maintain the quality of the company’s legal database;
- Assist in preparing and providing training materials, including legal onboarding for new employees on labor and governance topics;
- Stay continuously updated on legal developments and share relevant insights with the Legal team;
- Support the implementation and use of legal systems (case management, contract management and KPIs) and Legal Operations initiatives related to labor matters;
- Identify opportunities to automate and simplify legal workflows;
- Support Investor Relations (RI) in connecting the company with its stakeholders (external and internal); anticipate regulatory risks and opportunities; ethically defend the company’s interests and strengthen its institutional image; and translate the company’s needs and positions into accessible language for decision-makers and external influencers, among other responsibilities.
Requirements
- Law degree (LL.B. or equivalent) with active OAB registration (Brazilian Bar Association);
- Postgraduate degree in Labor Law — a plus;
- Experience in institutional relations — a plus;
- Advanced English;
