About the role

  • Execute functional, regression, and smoke testing for enterprise-grade applications across multiple environments.
  • Write, maintain, and enhance automated UI test scripts using Playwright.
  • Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies including standups, planning, and retrospectives, contributing a QA perspective.
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria.
  • Assist in maintaining test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test data.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and test coverage.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of overall experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  • Minimum 9-12 months of hands-on experience with Playwright for UI test automation.
  • Solid understanding of manual and functional testing methodologies for web-based enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with tracking tools (e.g., Jira or equivalent).
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automated tests integrate into them.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and clear communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of TypeScript / JavaScript is good to have.
  • Prior experience with Cypress or other UI automation frameworks is good to have.
  • Exposure to API testing concepts and tools (e.g., Postman) is good to have.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git is good to have.
