About the role
- Lead and coordinate daily activities of the Clipper Engineering Department
- Establish, track, and report key performance metrics
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing and repair methods
- Provide expert-level technical support to enhance production and quality processes
- Oversee all Clipper technical writing activities
- Lead initiatives to implement new tools, fixtures, and equipment
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality and process issues
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to align solutions with production needs
- Support the development and training of assembly teams
- Participate in financial planning, production strategy, and annual operating plans
- Drive waste reduction by analyzing and minimizing inefficiencies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) or Master’s in Electrical Engineering (MSEE)
- 10 years of progressive electrical engineering experience
- 3 years in an engineering management or supervisory role
- Working knowledge of NEC/NFPA, UL, and OSHA electrical standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Creo/Pro-E or equivalent 3D design software
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Expert knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical PPE protocols
- Experience in renewable energy or power generation industries
- Strong background in renewable power conversion systems
- Familiarity with PCB design
