About the role

  • Support the sales organization during the presales phase
  • Handle tenders/RFPs in the Oracle and PostgreSQL environment
  • Capture customer requirements and develop solutions taking the IT lifecycle into account (Plan, Build, Operate)
  • Present and explain our solution portfolio at management level, especially for Oracle, PostgreSQL, Azure & Oracle Cloud (IaaS and PaaS)
  • Prepare the technological foundations for proposals (SOW), including costing of hardware and software as well as the services required for implementation
  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals and tender responses
  • Manage proofs of concept
  • Develop architecture concepts
  • Derive optimal Oracle and PostgreSQL database architecture solutions for on-premises and cloud deployments
  • Conduct workshops and webcasts on database topics for customers and sales teams

Requirements

  • Degree in a technical discipline or business administration with a technical focus, or an equivalent qualification
  • Several years of presales experience
  • Experience handling tenders/RFPs in the public sector
  • Specialization and several years of demonstrable professional experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
  • Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL architecture solutions both on-premises and in the cloud with major hyperscalers (e.g., Azure, AWS, Oracle)
  • Analytical approach and strong interpersonal skills
  • Sense of responsibility and reliability
  • German and English language skills (minimum C1)
  • Independent and structured working style
  • Willingness to engage in self-directed further training and learn new topics
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, especially at management level (C-level)
  • Willingness to travel (50%)
