About the role
- Provide day-to-day operational leadership for assigned specialty program areas.
- Oversee clinical staff and patient care, including staffing, orientation, education, and policy compliance.
- Complete performance evaluations, competencies, and orientation checklists.
- Foster collaboration, mentorship, and support for nursing duties as needed.
- Encourage quality improvement initiatives, risk reporting, and safety analysis.
- Support exemplary patient and family relations and service recovery efforts.
- Ensure adherence to Montana Nurse Practice Act, regulatory standards, and Logan Health policies.
- Participate in development and review of policies and staff training for new procedures.
- Monitor productivity and assist with budget development and fiscal oversight.
- Support equipment and supply management.
- Participate in process improvement, committees, and organizational initiatives.
- Conduct rounding to ensure patient and family needs are met promptly and professionally.
- Partner closely with HR for hiring, employee relations, corrective actions, compensation, and performance management.
- Ensure staff are appropriately trained and support cross-training as needed.
Requirements
- Current Montana RN License or multistate compact license; required.
- BSN required; Master’s in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience required.
- Minimum of two (2) years recent experience in one of the following: Acute Care (required; Med/Surg highly desired)
- Current RQI Healthcare Provider certification required.
- Strong organizational skills, critical thinking abilities, and ability to function independently or within a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential/sensitive situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and willingness to learn additional software.
