About the role
- Support the conduct of recruitment processes for maritime positions (crew, operational support, and related administrative roles)
- Screen resumes according to technical requirements (maritime certifications, sea service, regulatory standards, etc.)
- Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and candidates
- Conduct initial competency-based interviews, when applicable
- Assist with validation of mandatory maritime documents (certificates, qualifications, required courses)
- Update and maintain spreadsheets and recruitment systems (vacancy status, candidate pipeline, SLAs)
- Liaise with internal departments (Operations, Compliance, Occupational Health & Safety, and Payroll/Personnel)
- Support the hiring/onboarding process, ensuring submission and verification of documentation
- Monitor area KPIs (time-to-fill, number of vacancies, profile fit)
- Contribute to improvements in recruitment processes to increase speed and accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in progress or completed in Psychology, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related fields
- Previous experience with recruitment and selection (desirable)
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Excel
- Desirable experience with operational or technical vacancies
- Advantage: knowledge of maritime routines or regulatory requirements
- Interest in working in Recruitment & Selection
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective workload management
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of Excel
- Experience checking maritime documentation
- Knowledge of the maritime sector
- Previous experience in HR or administrative routines
- Knowledge of recruitment platforms (e.g., Gupy)
- Experience managing a high volume of vacancies
