About the role
- Complete complex custodial reconciliations for Agencies, Guarantors, Private Investors, and Client Asset accounts within established guidelines and timelines
- Assist vendor with T&I custodial reconciliations as needed, and review/approve T&I reconciliations completed by vendor
- Assist with training and mentoring junior custodial reconciliation analysts
- Assist with audit requests, investor, internal, and external
- Assist with procedures, department projects, and process improvement efforts
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of investor accounting experience, mortgage servicing or mortgage banking industry preferred
- 5+ years of custodial bank reconciliation experience with GNMA, FNMA, FHLMC, or private investors preferred
- Advance knowledge of Lender Processing Services system (MSP product) or other mortgage servicing platform experience required
- Advanced knowledge of complex Test of Cash logic, MSP cash flow and cash management-related activity
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Advanced analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Advanced arithmetic to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with internal customers and external clients and investors
- Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
