About the role
- Responsible for management, scope, fees, and the profitability of individual projects and project portfolio
- Point person and firms contact with clients while functioning as project manager
- Assists in new sales with clients for which they are managing projects
- Guides and coordinates internal LJB transportation disciplines with sub-consultants and clients
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams
- Possesses understanding of all transportation disciplines and requirements as related to bridge design projects
- Responsible for assisting Deputy Operations Manager in maintaining PM best practices.
- May or may not be involved directly in the design on larger projects
- Apprise Operations Management of employee performance on projects
- Provide information to Deputy Operations Manager on future projects so they can manage staffing
- Assist in informal development of other employees
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering or related field required
- M.S. degree in a relevant discipline preferred
- P.E. license required
- Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus
- At least 10 years of experience in consulting or engineering
- Experience working with DOTs required
- Project team leadership experience
- Project and client management experience
- Strong presentation and interpersonal communications skills
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills required
- MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil-3D software experience preferred.
