About the role

  • Collaborate with a team on structural analysis and design of various bridge types
  • Lead bridge projects as the Bridge Task Coordinator, managing project schedules, tasks, and deliverables
  • Provide structural bridge design and plan production support to teams across different office locations
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering professional development while overseeing quality control for bridge design and plan sets
  • Develop technical memorandums, specifications, feasibility studies, evaluations, and reports, and contribute to proposal development

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of hands-on bridge/culvert design experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering required. Structural emphasis preferred.
  • PE license is a plus; successful candidates must have or be able to obtain a PE within 1 year of hire.
  • Direct experience with DOT bridge design and a thorough understanding of DOT design guidelines, procedures, and plan preparation.
  • Established relationships with state DOTs and municipalities are preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and the Manual for Bridge Evaluation.
  • Experience with CAD plan development, MicroStation/ORD preferred.
