About the role
- Oversee the reporting, auditing, and administration of Auto Liability (AL), General Liability (GL), and Workers’ Compensation (WC) claims handled internally and by the TPA
- Serve as a primary point of contact for insurance carriers, claim adjusters, and internal stakeholders, providing timely updates and responses
- Partner with the Senior Specialist and leadership to support risk assessments, hazard identification, and risk mitigation initiatives
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, external partners, and store leadership to ensure smooth claims resolution
- Manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and Bonds, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Administer internal first-party liability claims not referred to the TPA, including investigations, statement collection, and denial letter drafting
- Participate in regular claim reviews with the TPA to support action plans for complex claims and process improvements
- Prepare and present claims data and insights to leadership using PowerPoint
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in customer service–focused roles, with the ability to manage sensitive situations professionally and empathetically
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain complex information to diverse stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and claim-related timelines simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
- Willingness to learn risk management practices, insurance concepts, and compliance requirements.
