About the role
- Support Euclid manufacturing headquarters by determining risks to product quality and developing risk preventions for printed circuit boards and electrical aspects of finished products
- Report to QA Manager or Supervisor and drive design, calibration and process improvement initiatives
- Provide problem-solving support and electrical guidance for printed circuit board manufacturing processes and teach others to do the same
- Assist in the design, troubleshooting and calibration of product testing equipment
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis and Improvement activities throughout Cleveland operations and teach QA personnel troubleshooting and auditing techniques
- Utilize Quality Management System tools and apply continuous improvement methodologies (6 Sigma, Lean) in team environments
- Collaborate cross-functionally with supervisors, senior engineers, and other departments
- For Senior levels, guide manufacturing process development and may act as a lead coordinating others
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Engineer I: 0+ years; Engineer II: 3+ years; Engineer III: 5+ years)
- Knowledge of Quality Management System tools
- Continuous improvement methodologies (6Sigma, Lean)
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and methods
- Ability to apply quality assurance tools, business procedures, part and process measurement techniques, and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Ability to organize, lead, and drive continuous improvement projects
- Ability to conduct Root Cause Analysis and Improvement activities
- Experience with design, troubleshooting and calibration of product testing equipment (preferred)
- Knowledge of electrical test methodologies, including data capture, analysis and calibration of test equipment (preferred)
- Experience with Printed Circuit Board manufacturing processes, including Surface Mount (SMT) and power electronics (preferred)
- Experience troubleshooting electronics and electrical equipment (preferred)
