About the role
- Report directly to the Project Development & Customer Service Manager and communicate matters pertaining to on-time delivery of projects
- Act as technical liaison between Quoting Team, Project Teams, Engineering, & Production to support customer project enquiries
- Support field issues, working with Engineering and the Customer to provide approved resolutions in a timely manner
- Support the Engineering team for project scope review ensuring designs are compliant
- Build relationships with existing vendors and assist with sourcing new vendors as required
- Develop overall project schedule to ensure departments complete action items by scheduled dates
- Coordinate collaboratively with Engineering, Production, and Service Teams and conduct meetings to ensure projects meet plans, quality standards, specifications, schedule and cost expectations
- Liaise on production scheduling, manufacturing/production of projects, raw materials, WIP, finished projects, quality control, and inventory control
- Lead meetings for assigned projects including pre-submittal and pre-construction meetings
- Conduct operations meetings, review schedules, back-orders and breakdowns
- Provide management oversight for all phases of manufacturing projects, including production, design, fabrication, installation to ensure work proceeds on schedule and within budget
- Work with Sales and Production to identify client needs, develop action plans and identify deliverables
- Handle customer enquiries and complaints with Sales and Service
- Liaise with US counterparts to leverage global knowledge and direction for the Automation Division
- Abide by and actively support Lincoln Electric's EH&S policies, procedures and environmental responsibilities
- Participate in the company Global Performance Management Program and contribute to profitability via continuous improvement initiatives
- Adhere to compliance policies and requirements
Requirements
- University Degree in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical Design) – 4 year program
- P. Eng License or working towards licensing - preferred
- Strong aptitude of Welding, automation & positioning equipment experience and/or knowledge
- 3 or more year’s previous Engineering experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment with proven leadership abilities
- Experience successfully implementing Lean/Six Sigma tools which created impactful business improvements
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes to provide input and improve design practices
- Able to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
