About the role

  • Provide comprehensive technical support, including troubleshooting, problem-solving, testing, training, installation, startup, and preventative maintenance on industrial automation equipment.
  • Deliver consistent, positive, and exceptional customer service experiences during every interaction.
  • Perform industrial troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, PLC, HMI, robot programming, networks, Fieldbus, and related systems.
  • Support full equipment installation processes, including rigging, alignment, wiring, startup, commissioning, and debugging of basic to intermediate-level systems.
  • Travel as required for installations, startups, field support, and emergency service to meet project timelines and budgets.
  • Take initiative to complete challenging projects on time while managing documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Identify potential upsell opportunities and future business with customers while on-site.
  • Collaborate individually or in teams and assist with additional activities to support company strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on field service experience in industrial automation or related manufacturing equipment.
  • Intermediate electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical prints/schematics.
  • Proven experience with in-field installation, startup, and debugging of intermediate-level manufacturing/automation systems.
  • Knowledge of system preventative maintenance on intermediate to advanced manufacturing equipment.
  • Demonstrated record of positive customer feedback and strong service delivery.
  • High school diploma or GED (technical/vocational school training preferred).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively (including occasional overnight stays).
  • Associate's degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, robotics, or a related technical field (preferred).
  • PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting experience (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) (preferred).
  • Safety systems, industrial networks, and Fieldbus programming/troubleshooting (preferred).
  • Robot programming and experience with robotic processes (preferred: basic knowledge of GMAW welding or plasma cutting applications).
  • Hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication system troubleshooting (preferred).
  • Experience with advanced robotic or automation systems installation and commissioning (preferred).
