About the role
- Collaborate with the R&D Manager to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Work with R&D Technicians to build, assemble, and or prepare equipment for testing and validation.
- Develop and execute test plans for new product development and existing product improvements.
- Set up and operate data acquisition systems and instrumentation (e.g., WinDaq, MATLAB)
- Analyze test data and prepare detailed technical reports and documentation.
- Coordinate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure testability and feasibility of prototypes.
- Participate in product redesign efforts to improve performance, manufacturability, or cost efficiency.
- Ensure all development and testing activities comply with relevant industry standards and internal quality procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), or Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET)
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuit design, and signal processing
- Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems and signal analysis (WinDaq, MATLAB, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, technical drawings, and system-level documentation
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to translate conceptual designs into functional prototypes and test setups
- Experience with lab instrumentation, sensors, and test automation is a plus
