About the role

  • Facilitate the application of industrial engineering principles to our manufacturing flow, layout, visual management, and overall effectivity of our safety, quality, and productivity goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in a standard approach across all Consumable manufacturing departments.
  • Design and implement manufacturing processes and systems to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and reduce cost.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Promote integrating manufacturing processes with technology.
  • Work with the support team and business stakeholders to translate wants and needs into technical requirements for system improvements.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Work with production teams to identify and resolve process issues.
  • Collaborate with quality control to ensure that products meet specifications and standards.
  • Develop and implement training programs for production teams on new processes and equipment.
  • Work with maintenance to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and repaired.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s overall strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; Mechanical Engineering experience strongly preferred.
  • For level II Engineer, minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Has working knowledge and experience in own discipline.
  • Continues to build knowledge of the organization, processes and customers.
  • Performs a range of mainly straightforward assignments.
  • Uses prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
  • For level III Engineer, minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Has in-depth knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
  • May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Works independently; receives minimal guidance.
  • For level IV Engineer, minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Is recognized as an expert in own area within the organization.
  • Has specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline or function.
  • May lead functional teams or projects.
  • Has accountability for the performance of a team within own discipline or function.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions.
  • Interprets internal or external issues and recommends solutions/best practices.
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
  • Proven ability to apply practical process knowledge with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, installations, and testing.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and understanding of automation/robotics integration.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data for process improvement.
  • Willingness to work off-shifts periodically to support production trials.
