About the role
- Contribute to the design, specification, analysis, and continuous improvement of electrical components, assemblies, and complete arc‑welding and plasma‑cutting systems.
- Partnering closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Service teams to sustain and enhance product performance, reliability, and manufacturability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Analyze field‑returned products and/or production test failures to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions.
- Implement changes to product designs, documentation, or test procedures to improve quality, reliability, manufacturability, and/or reduce cost.
- Provide technical support to resolve production issues, field service problems, and customer‑reported concerns.
- Identify opportunities for product cost reduction through design optimization, material changes, or manufacturing process improvements.
- Perform and supervise testing of design changes to verify product performance, durability, and compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with colleagues across R&D, Manufacturing, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Service to define objectives, resolve issues, and drive continuous product improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field required
- 3 - 5+ years of relevant experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Possess and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures to the completion of a variety of difficult assignments and changing priorities
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required
- Ability to perform hands-on work.
