Financial modeling and presentations of new development and acquisition opportunities utilizing a range of capital structures and financing tools unique to affordable housing.
Working with prospective lenders and investors to negotiate and secure debt and equity financing
Conducting market research for new potential and existing projects
Hands on involvement with construction management and design processes
Compilation and review of due diligence information including financial, market, demographic, site, federal, state regulatory data
Coordination and completion of applications, financing packages, and documentation necessary for debt and equity financing, property purchase and sale, and government subsidies.
Managing acquisitions and deal closing process.
Assisting with and gathering information for various state and/or federal tax credit and financing applications, tax exempt bond applications, and soft funding applications.
Researching and analyzing a variety of sources such as general plans, ordinances, court decisions, legal documents, and articles for use in determining highest and best use of multi-family development projects

Ability to understand excel financial modeling and thinking through investments and the impact of decisions through the investment process on financial outcomes.
Ideally a demonstrated experience or knowledge of public and private affordable housing funding resources and subsidy programs, including LIHTC, tax-exempt bonds, and syndication process; ability to combine financing tools to leverage funds creatively.

Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, or related field with demonstrated performance and leadership in school is required.
Requires 1-2 years of experience in development, real estate investment, finance, or a related field.
