About the role

  • Strategic and operational leadership of the accounting department with clear responsibility for results and quality
  • Overall responsibility for budgeting, forecasts and financial planning
  • Active management and monitoring of costs and budgets
  • Ensuring the proper preparation of monthly and annual financial statements

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration (Diplom-Betriebswirt or Diplom-Kaufmann) or equivalent
  • Relevant professional experience in accounting
  • Strong knowledge of accounting under German GAAP (HGB) and ideally IFRS
  • Some experience in leading/managing employees
  • Confident user of ERP systems and MS Office applications
  • Fluent in English
