About the role
- Report into the Manager of Network Systems and shape the enterprise network ecosystem at Lime (shared electric vehicle company).
- Install, configure and maintain hardware and software for Network and Physical Security devices.
- Monitor network and security performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Manage Fortinet firewall infrastructure in AWS, including configuration, policy management, and updates.
- Design, build, manage, and operate Amazon Web Services with automation and infrastructure as code.
- Create and maintain network standardized documentation, including diagrams and configurations.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth network and security operation.
- Provide end-user support for network-related issues.
- Implement and manage VPN solutions (site-to-site and remote access) across the organization.
- Some responsibility for corporate physical security standards, deployment and maintenance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; relevant networking certifications will be considered.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on cloud and hybrid environments.
- Demonstrable experience with core AWS networking services (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong knowledge of network hardware, software, and protocols, including Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet and other devices.
- Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN technologies (site-to-site and remote access).
- Certification: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner - required; AWS Certified Solutions Architect - preferred.
- Certification: Fortinet Certified Fundamentals - required; Fortinet Certified Associate - preferred.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
- It is preferred that this role is based within the US.
- Open to fixed-term (initially 3 months) engagements.
