Review new contracts and product offerings / promotions for correct ASC606 or ASC842 treatment
Build relationships with Business Development teams to encourage Accounting involvement early in the proposal lifecycle
Work closely with FinTech to implement a new Revenue Management System
Manage the end-to-end accounting close process for revenue-related transactions, including managing a team of 1-2 senior accountants
Collaborate with teams across departments to ensure accurate billing and revenue accounting
Review monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and receivables reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
Implement and maintain internal controls to enhance accuracy and safeguard financial integrity
Participate in system improvements and process enhancements to streamline accounting operations

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA
6+ years relevant professional experience, preferably in public accounting and/or with a publicly-traded company
Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and SOX internal control requirements
Ability to use a variety of software programs and tools to analyze and work with large data sets and accomplish tasks efficiently
Skilled in problem solving, making decisions, being a self-starter and working effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Experience reviewing new contracts or agreements for accurate revenue recognition
SQL knowledge
