About the role
- Collaborate with Network Security professionals in the Operations department
- Oversee and maintain multi-region US based datacenter network
- Maintain network and datacenter security infrastructure
- Assist customer support in resolving incident and problem tickets
- Monitor security infrastructure with emphasis on firewalls
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in IT or related industry experience
- Advanced industry specific training and certification preferred.
- 4+ years experience in Network Security Engineering/Administration
- Direct experience in firewall administration from various vendors, Fortinet/Palo Alto experience preferred
- Solid understanding of network routing and switching as it applies to firewalls
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to changes in technology
- Excellent telephone and personal customer service skills required
- Ability to communicate in a professional and friendly manner with customers in written communication
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for work in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to multi-task and operate with general supervision, adjusting priorities accordingly
- Able to maintain professional demeanor under stress
- Experience troubleshooting applications and network issues using a network protocol analyzer
- Vendor certifications preferred but not required; NSE4/5, FCP, PCNSA, PCNSE
