About the role
- Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading communications such as emails, newsletters, announcements, reports, presentations, and articles
- Provide administrative support for the director of Corporate Communications, executive director of Lifeway Research, and the broader Corporate Communications team, including calendars, expense reports, meeting materials, and records management
- Manage donation requests, fulfillment coordination, budget tracking, and related recordkeeping across divisions
- Assist with planning and execution for events, such as trustee meetings, corporate Lifeway events, and other special events, including site selection, vendors, AV, hospitality, and on-site logistics
- Support community engagement efforts and help maintain relationships with civic groups and SBC entities
- Run reports and analysis projects as directed to support communications and leadership decision-making
- Perform basic graphic design work using Canva, Adobe products, or similar tools to support communication needs
- Maintain organized templates, media assets, and operational resources that improve consistency and service delivery across the team
- Serve internal and external stakeholders with professionalism, discretion, responsiveness, and strong follow-through
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing, business administration, or a related field, required
- 5+ years of experience including communications, event planning, and administrative support
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading experience with AP or Chicago style
- Experience coordinating logistics, budgets, vendors, records, and service-oriented processes
- Administrative support experience including expense reports, scheduling, invoicing, and contracts
- Project management ability with success managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Must live in the Nashville metropolitan area and be able to travel occasionally
- Actively involved in a Southern Baptist church
