About the role
- Assist the After Sales Supervisor in carrying out the duties necessary in supporting the service department and providing industry leading customer service.
- Act as a first point of contact for inbound Service calls/enquiries in a proactive, professional and efficient manner, obtaining customer details, order numbers or other authorisation when required.
- Assist in coordinating parts, labour, tooling and other necessary resources required for the efficient completion of any job.
- Raise and process Sales Orders, Work Orders, Purchase Requests and Invoices both internally and to customers.
- Close jobs in a timely manner justifying costs incurred to both external and internal customers and ensure effective management of the depot’s WIP ready for Invoicing.
- Liaising with customers to schedule the maintenance of machines and ensuring the complete schedules and defects are controlled through the Service mailbox and sent to customers in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with Field Service Engineers, suppliers and internal departments to support efficient operations and to compile and prepare estimates for secondary work to generate sales.
- Support the preparation of estimates and defect documentation for additional work.
- Take the lead dealing with suppliers, raising purchase order numbers and closing these upon goods arrival.
- Identify additional sales opportunities through service interactions.
- Maintain an organised system of work, ensuring filing and documentation are handled in a timely manner and logically filed.
Requirements
- Able to demonstrate competencies and skills for the role through service-related experience in a similar industry.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Able to demonstrate ability to work effectively in a pressurised environment.
- Good communicator at all levels.
