About the role

  • Manage the Planning department
  • Oversee production scheduling: develop production schedules based on orders and available resources.
  • Manage material and product flows: supervise logistics processes to ensure smooth delivery of products.
  • Collaborate with sales, procurement and engineering teams.
  • Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and propose corrective solutions.
  • Monitor costs, lead times and performance to meet defined objectives.
  • Own the implementation and monitoring of the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process.
  • Integrate subcontractors into the S&OP process.
  • Develop and optimize planning and tracking tools.
  • Digitize MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) processes.
  • Manage inventory for the responsible areas.
  • Coordinate resourcing projects.
  • Report relevant KPIs to management.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Engineering degree) in mechanical engineering, business informatics, industrial engineering/economic engineering, or economics.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a managerial role within industry (production, methods).
  • Proficient with MS Office suite.
  • Project management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of S&OP processes.
  • Fluent in English (minimum C1) with basic German (A2).
  • Practical, hands-on approach and field experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Assertiveness and confident decision-making.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strategic thinking and results orientation.
  • Excellent team motivation and leadership skills.
