About the role
- Manage after-sales service calls, including service issues, and schedule customer equipment for service.
- Manage work orders, including opening and closing work orders and factory-generated modifications, ensuring labor, parts, outsourced repairs, lubricants, supplies, and part credits are accurate, and that job billing is performed in accordance with company policies and key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with the warranty manager to resolve warranty issues and customer claims.
- Coordinate equipment and float movements.
- Arrange factory-generated modifications.
- Business development for service, field, and workshop operations.
- Advise technicians on technical training requirements.
- Review and approve maintenance reports and work orders.
- Manage after-sales service procurement, verify third-party supplier accounts, and oversee the billing process.
- Coordinate contractors for field and workshop activities.
- Maintain service and maintenance documentation and prepare estimates.
- Coordinate and maintain service contracts, including monthly invoicing.
- Coordinate maintenance of the service vehicle fleet.
- Perform other related duties.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in the heavy equipment industry is preferred.
- Bilingualism required – frequent interactions with English-speaking customers or partners outside Quebec.
- Engineering experience considered an asset.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in demanding situations.
- Ability to communicate detailed and complex information clearly and concisely.
- Experience with MS Office, service reporting/time entry, billing, and parts ordering.
- Resourceful and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Administrative skills within the heavy equipment industry.
- Strong organizational skills, work planning/scheduling.
- Report writing and analytical skills.
