About the role

  • Planning, directing, managing and providing oversight of organizational professional design services
  • Directs the work of a CAD draftsman
  • Effectively communicates with project owners, engineers, field staff, technical staff, municipalities, regulatory agencies, and contractors
  • Provides internal and external coordination and collaboration with project partners and stakeholders
  • Develop architectural designs meeting LMC specifications and budget, and local regulatory laws
  • Create detailed architectural plans using CAD software
  • Present designs, proposals, and progress reports to end users and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, contractors, and other professionals involved in the project
  • Review and manage contracts and tenders
  • Oversee and guide the construction process, ensuring project adheres to planned design, quality standards, and safety regulations
  • Manage project deadlines and budgets, and make necessary adjustments to keep project on track
  • Stay updated on architectural trends, technologies, and regulations
  • Address any issues or delays that may arise during the construction process
  • Lead the development of architectural designs and preliminary construction plans

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Architecture or Design
  • 10 years of experience designing acute care and medical office and procedural spaces
  • License to practice Architecture in South Carolina
  • Proficiency in design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM
  • Knowledge of building and codes, requirements and regulations
