About the role
- Provide leadership, management, consolidation and reporting activities for the UK entity and its divisions.
- Work directly for the VP Financial Control & Group Reporting and provide strategic planning, financial reporting, advice and support to the Divisional/functional finance leads/teams to support all reporting requirements.
- Own and maintain the governance of our reporting systems, ensuring all financial reporting demands are understood to support our monthly, quarterly, yearly reporting requirements.
- Manage the requirements of the annual 5 year Integrated Business Plan process and ensure that all requirements and activities are aligned and understood.
- Own and support the delivery of a number of Divisional P&L and Balance Sheets.
- Lead/develop a team to support in delivering requirements to the business and ensuring development needs and succession planning are maintained.
- Play a pivotal role with the transformation team to support and shape the future business systems requirements as reporting requirements change and evolve.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external financial Policies and the currently adopted accounting standards.
- Full accountability for the financial input to maintain and control the Divisions P&L and Balance Sheets under your control.
- Provision of the strategic Plan and annual budget prior to VP Finance and CFO review, including financial scenario planning.
- Support the Finance transformation team with reporting delivery activity.
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant with strong technical capability and a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and build effective partnerships across multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Experience in project or contract accounting (preferred).
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, with SAP experience highly desirable.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach to work.
- The ability to adapt and re‑prioritise in order to meet key deadlines.
- A commitment to producing high‑quality, accurate work and providing reliable support to stakeholders.
- An enthusiastic and motivated attitude, with a genuine interest in working within a complex, multi‑divisional organisation.
