About the role
- Oversee all inventory management activities to ensure the efficient, accurate, and cost-effective receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods
- Develop and implement inventory control processes to maintain inventory accuracy, optimize inventory levels, and minimize excess or shortages
- Collaborate with supply chain, operations, procurement, and finance to align inventory with production and business needs
- Lead cycle counts, audits, and system reconciliations to ensure data integrity and support continuous operational improvement
- Manage the company's inventory control activities to ensure efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing raw materials and finished products
- Monitor inspection of incoming items against orders for accuracy, completeness, and defects
- Manage periodic and special inventories; account for inventory variances
- Develop and implement improvements in policies and procedures to promote efficiency, faster service, and lower costs
- Plan and coordinate the transfer of products, materials, equipment, parts, accessories, and/or supplies between/among warehouses
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or regulated environment
- Proven ability to establish structure, enforce processes, and maintain strict inventory control standards within a fast-paced operational environment
- 3+ years of demonstrated success leading teams and holding personnel accountable to inventory accuracy, cycle counting schedules, and warehouse procedures
- Strong experience implementing and managing cycle count programs, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation processes
- Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and inventory management tools
- Experience driving operational discipline, process compliance, and continuous improvement across inventory and warehouse operations
- U.S. Citizenship required
- This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
