About the role
- Own and manage indemnities for the Autolend product, tracking and resolving outstanding balances with broker partners
- Reconcile and maintain detailed records using Google Sheets, pulling data from multiple sources
- Investigate and resolve misallocated or delayed funds, especially those linked to complaints
- Build productive relationships with brokers and internal teams to resolve issues and set up smooth processes for the future
- Work closely with the commercial/sales team to ensure the protection of the commercial relationships with brokers and dealers.
- Collaborate with the Legal team as required to support effective recovery and indemnity actions.
- Chase outstanding payments professionally and sensitively
- Document and improve credit control procedures for Autolend and other products as required
- Prepare regular reports for internal stakeholders, highlighting risks and improvement opportunities
- Support ad-hoc processes across Financial Operations
- Expand into additional financial operations tasks as proficiency in credit control indemnities develops.
Requirements
- 2+ years as a credit controller, ideally in financial services
- Proficient Google Sheets skills (VLOOKUPs, pivots, data validation, etc.) and strong reconciliation ability
- Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experienced at working cross-functionally and managing external partners, especially brokers
- Proven record in debt chasing and account reconciliations with multiple parties
- Motor finance and/or fintech experience is a major advantage
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Process-oriented, resilient, and comfortable with ambiguity
- Experience documenting and improving processes
- Self-starter, able to take initiative and deliver independently
