About the role
- Bring features to the finish line while collaborating closely with other developers and with Product, QA, Data, and Machine Learning teams to deliver a seamless, joyful experience for customers
- Help build products using microservices written in Typescript (using NestJS) and Ruby on Rails running over Kubernetes
- Leverage in-house autonomous tools to manage development flow, from setting up the development environment to creating git branches and deploying services to production
- Operate as a platform squad and collaborate with other teams to drive efficient and scalable business growth
- Own your domain to ensure code quality, performance, and scalability of products
- Coach and mentor other developers and help them elevate their skills
Requirements
- 7+ years working as a backend engineer
- BSc in Computer Science or Mathematics (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working on high scale, production-grade projects
- Experience with TypeScript (using NestJS), Ruby on Rails, Kubernetes, and microservices
- Past contributions to open source projects are a plus
- Ability to work in an office environment a minimum of 3 days a week
- Willingness to learn and adapt to AI technologies
- Dutch work authorization / potential sponsorship status requested in application form
