About the role
- Reporting to SVP/GM Ophthalmics, the Ophthalmic Inside Sales Manager is dedicated to building strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Manages the inside sales team to optimize customer experience and exceed revenue targets through dynamic coaching and innovative sales strategies.
- Ensures revenue growth for the organization by meeting and exceeding sales goals set within the organization through effective sales planning.
- Drives new customer acquisition by proactively identifying and targeting potential clients, developing tailored outreach strategies, and cultivating relationships.
- Establish and maintain a current pipeline for sales opportunities and targets for the team in the CRM system.
- Regularly track and report on new customer acquisition metrics and sales growth initiatives.
- Accountable for performance management and growth of the team based on company goals for revenue and growth.
- Analyzes sales data to identify trends and determine root causes to improve sales performance.
- Coaches the team to focus on product expansion and build a target list prioritizing new customer acquisition alongside account development.
- Prepares annual sales plan and prepares monthly updates for new customer acquisition and sales growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience is required.
- 4+ years of team management and pharmaceutical, medical or healthcare sales experience required.
- 5+ preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully leading a team, must be able to speak to specifics on best practice selling skills.
- Excellent people management skills and the ability to drive sales results; must be metric driven.
- Results-oriented professional who is articulate and can make and meet commitments and deadlines.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual who is organized and can effectively convert data into actionable plans and results.
- Must possess strong problem-solving skills along with well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of 503B regulatory requirements, cGMP standards, and USP guidelines is a plus!
- Proficient written, verbal and oral English communication skills are required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, Microsoft, and Excel.
- Demonstrated proficiency with CRM systems.
