About the role

  • Lead electric utility project execution teams with a diverse set of contributors
  • Take ownership of overall portfolio performance, including cost, schedule, and scope management
  • Interface with clients and internal stakeholders to address issues, report progress, and mitigate risks
  • Mentor and develop project management staff, fostering collaboration and continuous learning
  • Manage monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable processes
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities to support growth
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality control standards
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders including clients and project teams
  • Identify project risks and mitigation strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field
  • A minimum of 3+ years of progressive Project Management experience within the Electric Utility Industry
  • Demonstrated Experience with US Electric Utilities
  • Direct experience with electric power infrastructure projects
  • Supervisory experience including team building and talent acquisition
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on portfolio management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to travel periodically as required
  • Proficiency utilizing Primavera P6 or MS Project suite with emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Proven knowledge of PowerPlan enterprise project performance software preferred
  • Previous experience working with Louisville Gas & Electric and Kentucky Utilities preferred
