About the role
- Maintaining Instrument Approach Procedures (IAP) data for current and pending approved, and suspended procedures
- Verifying the information in the database matches the publications in the 28- and 56-day publication cycles
- Providing updated information for Airports, Runways, Special Instrument Approach Procedures (IAP’s), Navigational Aids (NAVAIDs), Airways, EnRoute Instrument Flight Procedure (IFP) updates, Departure Procedures, Standard Terminal Arrivals (STARs)
- Assisting with obstacle position verification
- Maintaining records of actions processed through the IFP Impact Team
- Participating in IFP Impact Team meetings and supporting as needed via notes and reports
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics, Aviation, or Air Traffic Control
- 4 or more years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Airspace and Procedures background (Instrument Flight Procedures)
- Air Traffic Control Experience (FAA, Contractor or Military)
- Commercial Instrument Rated Pilot (Military or Civilian)
- Certified Instrument Flight Instructor
- Previous experience with FAA or DoD terminal instrument procedures (TERPS)
