About the role

  • Lead a team of engineers to fulfill the software data transport requirements in support of data exchanges across the tenant application in a large-scale cloud hosting environment.
  • Design, develop, test, troubleshoot and debug the software data transport system.
  • Analyze software requirements and ensure that the software data transport system is fulfilling the mission.
  • Evaluate tools and products to improve the software data transport system.
  • Maintain the infrastructure and platforms necessary for the software data transport system.
  • Maintain, develop, and operate interfaces for tenant applications within the highly available Data Transport service for DISA STRAT US environments.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and optimize the data flow through the Data Transport Services.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity frameworks including DISA STIGs, NIST 800-53, and RMF.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud engineering, and application teams to support secure mission delivery.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Promote continuous improvement through feedback loops and process refinement.
  • Ensure alignment with mission priorities and Leidos delivery standards.
  • Design message flows for any new required services using the EAI/ESB.
  • Develop and deploy integration services, routes, and orchestration logic.
  • Support deployments, patches, and platform upgrades.
  • Enforce integration standards and naming conventions.
  • Support audit and compliance requirements through logging and traceability.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Present architectural designs and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Mentor, guide and supervise teams for data transport-related activities.
  • Lead reviews and provide guidance on complex technical decisions.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation to support development and operational processes.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide mentorship to junior staff, fostering a learning environment.
  • Act as the Data Transport manager to assess employee performance, hire new employees, and ensure compliance with corporate training requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelors and 12 + years of experience; Masters and 10 + years of experience.
  • Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Interim Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain Secret clearance required to maintain employment.
  • US citizenship required.
  • Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2).
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience working with technical teams in cloud, cybersecurity, or enterprise IT environments.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Harbor, Jenkins, Rancher to support data transport implementations.
