Execute monthly consolidation processes utilizing the Oracle’s Financial Consolidation and Close system
Review and approve all post-close adjustments/close journal entries
Support internal and external audit and quarterly review process
Work with Leidos cross-functional teams to enhance the current close cycle
Oversee the accounting close calendar and provide input/review into the monthly close calendar
Lead/participate in any acquisition, divestiture, recast, and/or ledger migration projects
Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures
Support ad hoc financial information requests and analyses

Requirements

BA/BS in Finance or Accounting
Minimum of 8 years of overall accounting experience
Strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC regulations
Highly developed Excel skills (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, modeling etc.)
Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule with varied hours during the close cycle
Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing
Government contracting experience (preferred)
Accounting systems experience including Deltek Costpoint, Oracle Analytics Cloud, etc. (preferred)
