About the role

  • Responsible for operational analysis and financial analysis in partnership with the Manager of FP&A and Assistant Controller
  • Work with the finance and accounting department, contributing to monthly close and US GAAP financial statements
  • Analyze current and historical operational data to identify patterns and insights
  • Assist monthly close, trend analysis, budget vs. actuals, and operational KPI reviews
  • Prepare clear, concise reports, operational dashboards and analysis
  • Research accounting and market trends, assessing impacts on business performance and compliance
  • Contribute to policy development and initiatives that improve efficiency and financial growth
  • Work closely with Romania accounting partners to ensure filings and regulatory submissions are completed on time
  • Serve as a point of contact between US and Romania partners
  • Support system implementations and adopt new tools as needed

Requirements

  • Strong analytical, and financial modeling skills, with ability to interpret large datasets and identify key drivers
  • Experience preparing US GAAP financial statements; familiarity with IFRS
  • Accounting experience in Romania is required
  • Prior experience in banking, financial services, or SaaS/software companies strongly preferred
  • Technical accounting expertise across IFRS and UK GAAP; ability to evaluate impact of new standards
  • Prior exposure to system implementations; adaptable to learning new tools quickly
  • Excellent attention to detail; able to identify data inconsistencies and patterns
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present insights clearly
  • Proven team player with ability to work cross-functionally and across global time zones
  • Flexibility to align with US working hours when needed
  • Start-up and SaaS accounting background required
  • Degree in accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or Finance (preferred)
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) (preferred)
  • Experience in banking or corporate finance environments (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality financial analysis in fast-growth companies (preferred)
