Chief Marketing Officer

• Develop and drive an integrated marketing strategy that supports Legalist’s business objectives and growth priorities
• Partner with leadership to pinpoint opportunities for strengthening our market presence and elevating our brand
• Translate business priorities into measurable marketing initiatives spanning brand, content, communications, and digital channels
• Establish our marketing priorities and measure effectiveness of initiatives
• Own Legalist’s brand across all external marketing materials and communications
• Ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across client-facing presentations and digital collateral
• Manage relationships with designers, PR partners, and other external parties
• Seek out opportunities to increase our brand visibility through PR, media opportunities, and thought leadership
• Oversee Legalist’s content strategy including newsletters, our website, thought leadership, and other marketing channels
• Work closely with our internal subject matter experts to translate complex legal and financial topics into digestible and compelling content
• Own pitch decks, presentations, one-pagers, newsletters, and case studies that support business development efforts
• Ensure that our website remains active and reflective of the Legalist brand
• Partner with our designers and external website vendors to enhance our website experience
• Define KPIs and regularly evaluate marketing performance
• Leverage data to identify opportunities and improve our marketing effectiveness
• Build reporting that gives leadership clear visibility into marketing performance and business impact

Head of Marketing

Director

• Source new lending opportunities through direct borrower outreach and referral networks.
• Develop relationships with investment banks, commercial banks, private equity sponsors, consultants, accountants, attorneys, and other intermediaries.
• Lead initial borrower discussions and determine strategic fit.
• Structure financing solutions that satisfy borrower needs while meeting fund investment objectives.
• Prepare and negotiate indicative terms, letters of intent, and term sheets.
• Maintain an active pipeline of qualified lending opportunities and provide accurate forecasting.
• Develop long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
• Work collaboratively with investment professionals to ensure a smooth transition from origination through closing.

Managing Director, Originations

Paralegal

• Review and analyze legal documents, case filings, and supporting materials to inform underwriting and portfolio monitoring
• Conduct legal, factual, and background research, including identifying analogous cases and relevant developments
• Support due diligence efforts by evaluating counterparties, legal claims, and associated risks
• Organize, index, and maintain case files, investment documentation, and internal records
• Track key case developments, deadlines, and portfolio performance across active matters
• Draft clear and concise summaries, memoranda, and internal reports on legal and investment findings
• Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, underwriting, operations, and technology teams
• Contribute to process improvements, workflow management, and data organization across the portfolio
• Provide general support on special projects related to legal analysis, compliance, and investment operations

Litigation Paralegal

Controller

• Prepare and review quarterly NAV packages, including income statement and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate with fund administrators and custodians to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and month-end exceptions.
• Prepare and review shadow allocations to independently verify P&L allocations, management fees, performance allocations, net returns and internal rates of return across all investors.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly expense accruals, cash disbursements, budgeting, and variance analyses.
• Review investment agreements, amendments, and related documentation to calculate and validate interest income, PIK income, fees, and other investment-related earnings.
• Monitor and maintain key investment terms, including maturity dates, coupon rates, principal balances, fee structures, and other contractual provisions.
• Prepare and review investment payoff statements and related portfolio reporting.
• Oversee investor capital activity, including subscriptions, capital calls, distributions, transfers, and redemptions.
• Review and approve investor statements, capital account reporting, and monthly/quarterly performance reporting.
• Serve as a key point of contact for investor inquiries related to fund performance, capital activity, account confirmations, and ad hoc reporting requests.
• Assist with investor onboarding, subscription processing, and coordination with custodians and fund administrators.
• Coordinate and review all investor transfers and ownership changes with limited partners and service providers.
• Assist with annual audited financial statements and investor tax reporting and coordinate with external auditors throughout the audit process.
• Assist with regulatory filings, including Form ADV and Form PF.
• Prepare quarterly UK VAT filings and annual tax-related reporting.
• Complete and review investor due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), consultant databases, and other recurring reporting requests.
• Support compliance, operational due diligence, and regulatory examinations as needed.
