About the role
- Manage and retain book of business (large accounts)
- Serve as point of contact for client relationships
- Proactively lead the renewal process in collaboration with clients, carriers, and vendors
- Analyze client business needs and recommend coverage solutions
- Assist Employee Benefits Sales Producers with new business and carrier quoting
- Cross-sell products across all lines of coverage
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Agency Management System (AMS)
- Assist the producers with account management
- Participate in renewal meetings
- Provide timely and thorough resolution to account issues
- Work additional hours during peak renewal seasons as needed
Requirements
- 5+ years of insurance industry experience and/or Employee Benefits experience preferred
- Active South Dakota Insurance Producer Health & Life license
- Completion of required HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, ACA, and carrier training
- Commitment to ongoing continuing education
- Knowledge of underwriting principles and self-funded financial arrangements (or willingness to develop expertise)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities
- Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
