About the role
- Develop comprehensive project plans to ensure successful delivery of BMS projects.
- Creation of the project design technical submissions.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, third parties/vendors, and all project stakeholders.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Provide technical direction and support for project team members.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of BMS systems to ensure project success.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee the integration of HVAC, lighting, security, and other systems into the BMS.
- Lead project teams, manage day-to-day project activities, and ensure team members have the tools they need to succeed.
- Delegate project tasks based on team members' strengths, skill sets, and experience levels.
- Track project performance to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Meet with clients to take detailed briefs and clarify specific project requirements.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
Requirements
- Proven working experience in project management within the BMS environment.
- Solid technical background with hands-on experience in Trend and either Schneider, Siemens and/or Tridium systems.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking.
- Strong IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project).
- Possess a positive, proactive mindset focused on problem solving and collaboration with teams and clients alike.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
- BMS-specific certifications (e.g., Trend, Tridium, BCIA01,02 & 03) are highly advantageous.
- Electrical safety awareness training.
- Ability to travel as required by the project.
- Physical ability to inspect installation sites and ensure quality control.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
