About the role

  • Support the plant’s financial operations by ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and reliable budgeting and forecasting
  • Assist the Financial Controller in corporate and internal reporting
  • Assist in budget and short-term forecast preparation, profit and loss, cashflow and balance sheet
  • Manage 3 direct reports
  • Manage key KPIs including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable aging
  • Full responsibility for Free Cash Flow forecasting, monitoring and reporting
  • Pursue Continuous Improvements to financial controls and other operational processes
  • Undertake Judgmental Reserves Schedules and Accrued Liabilities reporting
  • Perform SOX Testing Reviews and present findings to the Financial Controller
  • Conduct Preliminary Balance Sheet Reconciliation Reviews
  • Calculate and report Warranty exposure
  • Conduct Product Profitability Analysis and Reviews
  • Manage and complete month-end processes including variance analysis
  • Report plant performance through Hyperion
  • Work closely with external auditors for year end and interim audit work
  • Review and sign off headcount
  • Review, maintain and implement internal controls including quarterly SOX testing
  • Develop direct report heads to achieve personal and professional goals
  • Support Financial Controller in management of two stock-takes annually
  • Complete ad hoc tasks as required
  • Support other team members as required

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Excellent I.T skills especially Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Finance / Business Degree (advantageous)
  • BPCS experience (advantageous)
  • Good working knowledge of IBM iSeries (AS400) and AS400Query (advantageous)
  • Automotive experience (advantageous)
  • Continuous Improvement pedigree (advantageous)
