Coordinate and manage relationships with external/freelance vendors, handling briefs and billing/payment details, as well as in-house specialists with diverse backgrounds and needs
Communicate with internal stakeholders (Editors, Content Strategists, Accounts Payable specialists, and more) to gather the requirements/briefs that external providers must deliver, ensuring expectations are met in terms of time, budget, format, and billing accuracy
Handle new selection processes to find new/more external vendors/providers for different projects and markets/languages.
Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in vendor management and the quality of deliverables.
Analyze and optimize workflows and processes for efficient outsourcing of content creation and optimization.
Are curious about the use/adoption of new technologies, including AI & automation tools and other platforms that help streamline processes and elevate the quality of deliverables.
Have an outstanding ability to handle multiple requests at the same time while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in managing external vendors or freelancers, preferably in content creation or content optimization.
Experience managing vendor invoicing and payment processes, and familiarity with freelance platforms for communication and payment scheduling (weekly/monthly) related to content requests.
Excellent project management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a proactive, versatile, and adaptable manner.
Experience in handling/developing content briefs, providing clear instructions to freelance writers/authors, and conducting selection processes for freelance writers based on strict requirements specific to an array of different projects.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with both external and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
High proficiency in English with strong writing skills. Spanish is a plus.
Understanding of digital marketing trends and best practices.
Passionate about content quality and achieving marketing goals.
Excellent time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary to changing priorities.
Interest in finding cost-effective solutions when dealing with external vendors of all kinds.
Familiarity with and/or interest in AI-powered content tools and an eagerness to learn and experiment with new technologies to enhance and streamline content creation workflows/revisions and vendor management processes.
A plus: experience using SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, or Google Search Console.
Also a plus: understanding of SEO principles and content optimization strategies and the ability to provide constructive feedback.
