About the role
- Leads, mentors, and develops a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Defines and enforces standards for data modeling, model deployment, and model training requirements to ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable AI solutions.
- Partners with the Vice President, Analytics and AI, to align AI initiatives with business strategy and drive measurable impact.
- Collaborates with Legal and Compliance to ensure all data usage and AI applications meet regulatory, privacy, and ethical standards.
- Oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects, from ideation to model deployment and monitoring.
- Works with Data Architect to evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies to advance the organization’s AI capabilities.
- Communicates complex technical concepts and project outcomes to non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Champions data governance, quality, and security best practices across the organization.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of deploying AI/ML models in production environments.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience leading and developing high-performing data science teams.
- Deep expertise in data modeling, machine learning, and AI deployment best practices.
- Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
