About the role

  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional partners (product, design, data science, and engineering) to architect and advance our observability products.
  • Drive comprehensive end-to-end feature development, taking full ownership from proof of concept through to delivery.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for product and user experience improvements, leveraging data insights and feedback to propose innovative, well-reasoned solutions.
  • Provide expert mentorship and support to teammates, guiding them through complex challenges and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
  • Actively lead and contribute to code reviews, spec reviews, and architecture design, ensuring alignment with best practices, long-term scalability, and maintainability.
  • Play a key role in advancing engineering standards, tooling, and processes across the technology organization.
  • Stay at the forefront of frontend development trends, experimentation, and data-driven product evolution.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software development experience with a focus on frontend development, or equivalent demonstrable skills and experience.
  • Willingness to work 2 days per week in our Oakland, CA office for mentorship and learning purposes.
  • Proficiency with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling, such as React.
  • Experience building data-focused products such as experimentation platforms, analytics dashboards, or large-scale data visualizations.
  • Experience working directly with customers and understands how their work impacts business goals.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering impactful solutions.
  • Proven ability to work closely and collaborate with cross functional partners, like product, design, and data scientists.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clean, well-documented, and testable code with a focus on maintainability and extensibility.
  • Strong understanding of observability and monitoring tools and practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and self-directed approach to work.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience working with distributed teams.
