About the role
- Report directly to the Operations Director and independently manage several departments
- Plan, organize and supervise daily operations to achieve daily and monthly objectives while respecting budgets, deadlines and safety in an automated environment
- Create and maintain a safety culture and ensure strict application of health and safety guidelines
- Ensure a clean and organized working environment
- Draw up short-, medium- and long-term business plans for departments
- Define and monitor team KPIs and take necessary actions to achieve objectives while managing operational costs
- Manage, coach, evaluate and develop teams of approximately 150 people with collaboration from Team Leaders and Leads
- Communicate with teams and social partners
- Manage and optimize automated processes with a view to continuous improvement
- Adapt to a constantly changing environment and lead teams towards operational excellence
Requirements
- Over 3 years' successful experience in a managerial position in an automated/production environment
- Good knowledge of WMS, WCS and AS400 systems
- Comfortable using Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Good level of English
- Good level of French
- Charismatic leader and role model
- Experience managing and developing teams (Team Leaders, Leads, forklift drivers and handlers)
- Highly customer- and results-oriented
- Good negotiating skills and ability to manage conflicts
- Flexible, able to handle pressure and willing to work as part of a team / flexitime
