Develop substation physical and electrical designs, including one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, general arrangements, grounding, conduit, and control schematics.
Prepare design drawings, technical specifications, and bill of materials for new and retrofit substation projects.
Conduct equipment selection and specify transformers, circuit breakers, switches, buswork, relays, and other substation components.
Collaborate with Protection & Control Engineers to integrate relaying and communication systems.
Perform load flow, short circuit, and grounding studies as needed.
Ensure all engineering deliverables meet NESC, IEEE, ANSI, IEC, and utility standards.
Coordinate with internal design teams, utilities, and contractors to ensure technical accuracy and constructability.
Participate in site visits to support design verification, construction, and commissioning.
Provide technical support during procurement, installation, and testing phases.
Maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation per client and company requirements.
